NIOS runs its public exam cycles twice yearly — April–May and October–November — giving students two fixed windows to target.
For students who need more flexibility, the On-Demand Examination System (ODES) allows exams to be taken outside these fixed cycles, once you're genuinely prepared.
Completing the program earns you the NIOS Senior Secondary Certificate, which higher-education institutions and employers across India, the UAE and internationally recognise for further study or employment.

Any student based in the UAE who is at least 15 years old and has already passed Class 10 (Secondary) from NIOS or another recognized board can apply, regardless of nationality or how long they've lived in the UAE.
Yes. NIOS has a dedicated admission stream for students who've previously failed subjects in another board, letting you appear only for those specific subjects through On-Demand Exams instead of repeating the full year.
Yes. For NEET, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are mandatory. For JEE, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are required. Since NIOS lets you mix subjects freely, you can select exactly the combination your target exam requires.
Science, Commerce, Arts/Humanities, and Vocational subject options are all available, and students aren't locked into a single fixed stream — subjects can be mixed across categories based on individual goals.
